Who We Are

In 1963 Keleen and Carlton Beal had a desire to contribute to the betterment of Midland, Texas. Their goal was for the improvement of Midland's education, health, humanities and welfare. This passion led to the establishment of the Beal Foundation. Since its inception this foundation has given to 186 organizations. It is the members desire to continue the strong legacy left to us to be a blessing to Midland for years to come.

Who We Help

The Beal Foundation has a long history of making Midland a better place. The following are general guidelines used by the foundation to evaluate grant requests:

  • Grants will be considered for agencies involving education, health, humanities, and welfare in the Midland area.
  • The Beal Foundation’s history with each organization will be considered.
  • Grants will be considered by their mission, need and other support.

Who Can Apply
  • Requests will be considered only from qualified organizations which:
    • Are tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3),
    • Are further classified as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 509(a), and,
    • Provide a copy of the IRS Letter of Determination Ruling. Applicants claiming exemption as a Government Entity must also provide evidence of their tax-exempt status,
    • Submit all required information.
  • No grants or loans will be made to individuals or lobbying organizations.
  • Any qualified organization may submit an application but organizations are encouraged to review the Foundation’s areas of interest as an indication of Foundation preferences and priorities.
